Remind me of Velllo pt.2 by jeager... nice beat. Good remix. And I still listen to it. It is movie that starts great, however fails to deliver in the end.
The main monster feels like a "Silent hill" game or movie borrowing.
In general this entire narrative would fit a Video game rather than a movie. A strong woman takes her gun in order to protect her family, later on a "bulb head" monster appears and supposedly dies in fire. No plots, no twists, no beautiful nature scences - just a good old movie about a monster praying on people in a remote location.
I do not understand all the good reviews. I do see how fans of the genre could give it 5, 6 or even 7 for good efforts.
But for the rest of us this movie is nearly unwatchable. Unfortunately, because the opening scenes got me intrigued.

Dark Light also served as HIM's first worldwide release with Sire Records, with whom the band had signed with in September 2004. Musically, Dark Light featured a more "polished" and "accessible" sound than previous albums, and was written as a cross between Black Sabbath and U2, also influenced by the work of composer Angelo Badalamenti. Production In August 2003, HIM separated from BMG, after fulfilling their contractual obligations to the label. [1] In September 2004, HIM announced that they had signed a new recording contract with Sire Records, who would handle the band's future releases in Europe, the United States, Japan and Australia. [2] In their native Finland, however, HIM's recordings would be released through the band's own Heartagram label. [2] In March 2005, HIM relocated to Los Angeles, California, to start work on their fifth studio album at The Paramour Estate, with producer Tim Palmer, who had previously mixed the band's fourth album Love Metal. [8] Music and lyrics According to Valo, the band entered the studio with the idea of creating a cross between Black Sabbath 's Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and Achtung Baby by U2, and Dark Light has been described as more "polished" and "accessible" than HIM's previous albums. First of all the film carries a resemblance to the 2002 M Night Shyamalan's Movie " Signs" but manages to be the usual run of mill creature thriller flick with pretty good jump scares. br> So to start it has our main character who is being interrogated by the police on suspicion of making her daughter disappear. A series of flashbacks shows mother and child experiencing weird stuff when her daughter apparently seems to be stalked by something evil because she saw strange UFO lights in their backyard. Next we have a police officer being called over multiple times and the usual routine and when she arrives, mum tells a story about weird things happening that indicate haunting apparitions.
There's also a lot of shifting camera shots of light that are done well. Now there are some good elements of this movie and although it can work out as a decent horror creature flick, it could have been better if something about dealing with human issues of relationship is included as the backdrop. But instead we get a scene where our protagonist's kid disappears and mum gets blamed for it. The usual premise and next this entire horror apparition aspect of the film switches track when we get our alien jumping out from the ground and to a corn field.I feel this part of the film should have been done better as the creature looks neither menancing nor visceral.
The plot is suspenseful and interesting to say at very to say, the plot isn't really a plot, because it is "all over the place" and "makes no sense. it's just a waste of your time. In the end everything is explained, and most of your questions are answered.

Overall i would say watchable for the constant flow in the screenplay. The major flaws are some quirks in acting performances where the character lack some vibrancy or just being too flat. One may like it for some edge of the seat flow in the screenplay and this this film not just another usual B movie 't be too critical when watching it, and u will enjoy the film.
